Motivational words can give you the "motivational milk" nourishment you need regarding jobs or anything else. We LOVE this one:
"My goal is to build a life I don't need a vacation from."
I once had a job at a very large hotel on the beach that catered to the higher end of the income bracket (since the rooms were priced way beyond my means at the time). The hotel manager would have morning meetings with the staff and give us motivational words to lead us into the busy day. During one summer month, he came to us and said that we were booked solid for the next several weeks and we had to work even harder. He saw the looks on our faces since we were already busting our backs trying to stay within some inhuman time line to get these rooms cleaned and ready.
He paused for a moment upon seeing our expressions and came out with some motivational words that stuck with me. He said, "The people who are booking rooms here work very hard at jobs they probably don't even like. They work 50 weeks a year just to have 2 weeks off in vacation time to come to our beautiful hotel on the ocean. They save up money for these 50 weeks just to be able to spend it with us living in luxury for only 2 weeks".
The hotel manager was correct. These people worked all year long in places they did not want to be just to be able to spend it the way they actually always dreamed of at our hotel for only 2 weeks.
I knew at that moment that I wanted to be different from all the rest of the people and build a life that I did not have to wait 50 weeks for a vacation (and then only have 2).
Staying with these type of motivational words, this quote which the author remains unknown says even more:
"It's crazy how some people feel that 2-5 years building their own business is a long time to get RICH. However they don't feel that working 40 years at a job they hate is a long time to STAY BROKE."
My father worked 40 years at a job he did not like. He had a dream, however, thought he could live it once he retired. He never made it to retirement. He died after working over 40 years at jobs he did not like or enjoy just to have what he thought was "security". He thought he was doing the right thing. I am here to tell you that I wish he took a different path. I wish he took the path he was dreaming of, and only just begun to develop, when his life was taken away so suddenly.
My father was a writer/columnist and a talk show host on live radio only the very last 2 years of his life while still working part-time at a job. He was just beginning to realize his dream come true and was so happy.
He was not very happy as a father raising three children with a mortgage, car payment, bills, food, clothing, etc. that he had to pay for with his meager salary. He never did have extra money and all his life he was just barely able to make ends meet. Is this how you want to end your own life? I do not.
The last motivational words to feed your hungry soul is by an unknown author:
"The distance between your dreams and reality is called ACTION"
The above motivational words are the key to everything we want. Each one of us, including my father, dreamed of a better life. Some of us already know our God given spiritual gift that will lead us there. The only thing that sets us apart from the millionaires and billionaires is ACTION.
What are you going to do today to get you to the life you want? What are you going to do right now? What goals are you willing to write down and set time limits? What are you willing to give up in order to improve your personal and business life? Maybe it's just not watching so much television. Maybe it's not eating so much sugar. I don't know your circumstances, but I will tell you that change is necessary.
While I was working on my writing skills, I was working a full time job and raising two children. I found time to focus on what I wanted for my future. The sacrifice of a "not so social" social life to me was worth it. I pursued my passion and was lead to the land of prosperity where fertile flowers grow tall and beautiful things appear.
I will end this article with an affirmation for you...say it DAILY:
"I promise to myself that I will live a life I do not need a vacation from. I will spend every day the way I want my life to be. I will live in the luxury of knowing that I do not have to wait 50 weeks to take a vacation. I can do that now. I am living my life on my own terms. I am the captain of my own ship and I lead the course on deep waters to any destiny I so desire".
Believe it...and you will achieve it.
