Motivational quotes for work come in handy on those days where you just want to run out the exit door at work in efforts to escape the dreary, miserable low paying job you happen to be in. Most of us do not have the fearlessness to be able to do that or the luxury of six months worth of savings in order to just quit one job and not have another to go on to.
Many times in my younger days I had wished for this type of security either in my mind of not being afraid, or in my bank account as some kind of financial backup. When I recall some of the jobs I had, I would have loved to of just walked out the door after telling my so called "superior" what I thought of him or her in the "inferior" way I was treated.
Some of the bosses I have worked for down the years have treated their employees as subhuman. In some of these large corporations individuals are not people anymore, they are a number. This number system enables the head "master" to enslave the employee to do menial mindless work while all along treating them less than they would an animal on the street (and don't get me wrong with this statement...I love all animals more so than I like most people). The number system, I think, justifies this treatment in the leaders minds so as to make sense in a seemingly senseless work environment. She is not a free willed human being anymore, she is number: ########
How do they get away with this? And more so, why do people stay? I found the answer when I had the courage to approach the head leader one day in the "human" resources office. I was being mistreated at the time and was very dissatisfied with my job. He said, and I quote: "If you are not satisfied with your job, there are 9 other people out there in line just waiting for you to leave so they can take your job". First of all, where did he get the number "9" and second of all, he made himself perfectly clear. I knew then that I would have to rescue myself and lift my own self up out of the dungeons of misery and maltreatment.
Motivational quotes for work assist us in creating a destination worth waking up to. When you imagine the voyage you want to embark on, remember this particular equation:
Dreams + Work = Success
It is not enough to just dream about your perfect job, career or business, you have to "add" into it some hard work in order to achieve or "equal" success. We all have a dream. We all imagine a life we want. Some of us don't know that we have to take some kind of action in the direction of that thought.
Another aspect of the above equation that needs to be factored in is the strong feeling of Desire. How bad do you want something? How badly do you desire a new job or position in life? How desperately do you want to be your own boss?
Robert Collier said it best in one of the finest motivational quotes for work, "The first principle of success is desire - knowing what you want. Desire is the planting of your seed".
Robert Collier further said, "Plant the seed of desire in your mind and it forms a nucleus with power to attract to itself everything needed for its fulfillment".
In doing all of this when it comes to motivational quotes for work, Arthur Ashe has this wonderful formula in his quote, "Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can."
I think the whole message here is to start immediately on the life you want. Don't just daydream about it, actually do something right now to get you to where you want to be. Do you always want to be a subhuman robot working for someone else performing menial mindless tasks day in and day out? Do you want to be treated less than human? Do you want to make a decent living wage or even more? I know your answer before you even think it!
We have to start right now, not tomorrow. We also have to keep on going until we get to our destination. If we do not give up, we will assuredly get there. "It's hard to beat a person who never gives up", famous baseball player, Babe Ruth said.
"Some people dream of success while others wake up and work hard at it" said the famous Winston Churchill.
I will end my motivational quotes for work with this one by H. Jackson Brown, "Don't say you don't have any time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Michelangelo, Mother Teresa, Thomas Jefferson and Albert Einstein".
I dreamed of a life where I am a servant to no one. I wanted a life where I can enjoy the work I do and am able to give back to the people who inspired me and supported me in tough times. I wanted to wake up every day and give thanks for the day ahead knowing that I was doing something I truly loved. I wanted to make a difference and inspire others to do the same. And here I am...hoping to help others as I have helped myself.
