Motivational quotes for women are uplifting as they are inspiring to women in transition as well as young girls carving out a path in life. Women are more powerful than they realize and when that day arrives when everything comes together, as we discover this...all is possible.
“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.”
―
Maya Angelou, "I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings"
One of my best-loved motivational quotes for women is from the movie, The Wizard of Oz (1939). This musical comedy-drama fantasy film is forever in the hearts of all of us and the ending is my favorite where Glinda, the good witch says to Dorothy, "You had the Power all along, my dear." I could end this article right here with this famous quote since it says it all, however, I will continue to enlighten:)
“I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out
of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at
my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.”
―
Marilyn Monroe
We do have the power to create the life we want, as women. We have the power to choose our destiny and to sail our own ships into the course we desire.
Another of the motivational quotes for women I favor comes from the author Elizabeth Edwards, "She stood in the storm, and when the wind did not blow her way, she adjusted her sails." Wow, fantastic, isn't it? How many storms have you endured? How many times have you had to adjust your sails? I have had many, myself. Now is the time for all of us as women to grab hold of the wheel of life and adjust our own sails to where we are destined to travel. I want to go on to uncharted seas and be the exceptional person I was destined to be, the captain of my own ship. I want to excel and prosper. How about you?
What are you passionate about? The things you like and favor are not just random, they are your life calling you to action. What do you like to do? What are you good at doing? What special talent or ability do you have that you were born with? On the other side, what appalls you? What horrifies you? This on the other spectrum may also be what you are called to adjust in this world.
“When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so
long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened
for us.”
―
Helen Keller
I have a daughter who abhors cruelty to animals and since she was a young child has been rescuing these creatures. She would take them into our home, rehabilitate them and eventually re-home the animals to safer habitats. She found her love and passion in something that calls her to action.
My other daughter is on the other side of my stated spectrum. She loves to paint and has been an artist since she could begin to write and draw. She has followed her own path and is a successful young woman making her own way in life as a very talented artist.
“You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.”
―
Mae West
My final of the motivational quotes for women on this page comes from the famous and wonderful Oprah Winfrey who said, "There is no greater gift you can give or receive than to honor your calling. It's why you were born and how you become most truly alive." She was most certain a woman who followed her own calling.
“A woman is like a tea bag; you never know how strong it is until it's in hot water.”
―
Eleanor Roosevelt
We, as the strong women we know we are, need to learn how to step out on our own and not follow the crowd. We have to find our own way, our own love of some kind of work or to fix something that makes us sick to our stomachs. Sometimes we will have to walk alone, to venture unaccompanied in order to find ourselves. We have to walk our own road to get to places we have never been before. We have to be unafraid and know that we are strong enough. We do not require validation from anyone. We know in our own hearts and soul what is good for us and what we need to do.
I am not afraid to be alone. I was born to do what I am doing right now. I require no ones approval for my destiny because it is not needed. My future is in my own capable hands. I want to be happy and leave this earthly existence better off than when I came into it. How about you?
You and I have the same powers as Dorothy did in The Wizard of Oz. We have had the power we have been seeking, all along. Let's use it. Let's make a difference. Let's be independent and not in need of someone else just for their income. Let's prosper as women and raise our children the same way, to realize their true potential and harness their Life given powers. We are what we have been looking for all along.
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure!"
― Marianne Williamson, A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of "A Course in Miracles"
