The "holy grail" best motivational quotation will for sure change your life. It did mine. And it has changed the lives of millions of people since it's inception on the written pages of Napoleon Hill's ground-breaking book, Think and Grow Rich, written in 1937.
Motivational Quotations from one of the greatest books, "Think and Grow Rich".So, what motivational quotations am I talking about? I didn't know it at the time, but I was introduced to it when I was a child. At that time, I didn't even know what the word "motivation" meant. I just had to do what was told of me, at the time. Now, I am grateful and passing on the discipline that was instilled in me with the understanding brought on by years of Life.
I was raised by a forceful and strict motivator, my father. He was forever reading books on positive thinking, self-motivation, self-affirmations and inspiration. He had a plaque near our front door, sitting on a small table across from a mirror that we all looked in before leaving the house. This plaque contained the words of Napoleon Hill and is what I consider the BEST motivational quotation EVER:
"Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it CAN achieve."
One of Napoleon Hill's greatest motivational quotations: "Whatever the Mind of Man can Conceive and Believe, it CAN Achieve."As young children, each morning as we left for school, he would have us stand in front of this "holy" plaque (along with another famous quote from the bible, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me") and tell us that this motivational quotation would serve us well during each day in school. He had us recite the words out loud, "Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve". He told us this was the key to....everything!
At that time, we did not understand any of this. We just did as we were told. This was the beginning for me. I had to recite this motivational quotation so many times, it stuck in my mind as I went on with my life.
Looking back, I can now define this great motivational quotation in my own words as I now see it. First there is the thought, an idea, a desire, the dream we all have, the passion for something great. Then there is belief, an unwavering faith in the thing manifesting itself for our higher good. A belief in ourselves as well as our Higher Power, self. Finally, we must know that the conceived and believed thought has already been manifested, already achieved. We must know that because we asked of it and believed it to be true, that it has already happened, already occurred just waiting for us to take action and grab hold of it.
I know, this is a lot to ingest. I am full just thinking about it. This one motivational quotation, this sole affirmation and inspirational quote by Napoleon Hill is where everything just comes together. He was a great thinker and so we too must use our minds to get us to where we want to be. It all begins in our minds. It all begins in everyone's mind. All the great inventors and hugely successful business men and woman began their millions and billions with an idea they had in their mind. We too have the same mind. Most of these people had little education. Most did not have college level degrees. They had what all of us have, a mind.
Are you where you want to be in your life? Are you working in the career field that you always dreamed of when you were little and when family asked you, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" Are you that person or are you merely eking by on a non-livable existence because you are afraid to go after what you really want to do. Are you afraid? Are you afraid you might fail? Guess what...if you are not living the life you have always dreamed of, then you surely have not succeeded...yet. I want to lift you up by asking you to affirm to yourself that you CAN achieve your dreams. By repeating Napolean Hill's motivational quotation, you will soon realize your great potential. We all have a dream. We all have a dream to become that person we think and know we are. Who are you?
One thing we must not do in our lives is to settle. We think, "Well, I have a job...I should be thankful." I am saying right now you are wrong and you are right. Yes, we all should be thankful for our day, whatever we happen to be in at the time, HOWEVER, if we are in the wrong career, the not right job, then we are doing ourselves and our future self a severe injustice. Yes, we all have to work jobs that we do not enjoy, however, the lesson is that we have to work these low some employments so we learn what is proper, correct and justly precise for our own selves and our own future lives.
We are here to prosper and strive for happiness. We have a right to be joyful and content. We have a right to dream up some wonderful existence, believe it already happening, then watch as it unfolds so gracefully in front of us achieving the dreams we once thought were impossible. We can conceive, believe and achieve.
I dedicate this and all my other writings to my father, who inspired me. He himself, eventually became who he wanted and dreamed of. Sadly, it happened much later in his life and he did not have very many years to enjoy it. He did, however, do it. He was a success and lived the life he imagined. He was a writer, a columnist and a motivational talk show host on a live radio show. He did as we all do, work many decades at jobs he did not enjoy. He worked at jobs he thought he had to keep because of fear of poverty. Guess what? We still were close to that level growing up. So, he worked at jobs he despised, just because he thought it was the right thing to do to provide for his family. What he did not know was that if he only followed his dream and did what he knew he could do and had the great talent for, we would have lived in some magnificent mansion on the sea shore of Italy.

The time is now. We don't know if there is a tomorrow. My father passed away in his 60's. He always thought he would live to 100. He even told us he would. He did not. All the years toiling away at something he knew was out of his nature to do took a heavy toll on my father. His last years were happy ones, though. Do you want to wait that long? I do not.
We have to start right where we are. We have to begin right now at the age we are today. We have to use what we have now in our minds to conjure up the kind of life we desire. We have to detail out each and every aspect of our existence and then do what we can do to make it happen. We can do it. I have faith in myself and I have faith in you. You are a child of this miraculous universe and you have a right to be here. You have a right to strive for and achieve the kind of life you have always dreamed of. We can make our dreams a reality.
